Robert earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Auburn University in 1971 and has practiced architecture for more than 46 years, bringing extensive experience, leadership, and commitment to thoughtful design throughout the Southeast. He is licensed to practice architecture in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and has worked on a wide range of residential, commercial, and community-focused projects over the course of his career.

Throughout his career, Robert has developed a strong reputation for his expertise in land and master planning. His ability to evaluate a site's natural features, infrastructure, circulation, and long-term growth potential has helped shape communities throughout the region. Robert's comprehensive approach ensures that each project establishes a strong foundation for successful architecture while creating places that are both functional and respectful of their surroundings.

Beyond his professional practice, Robert has remained actively involved in civic and community leadership. He has served multiple terms as an Island Planning Commissioner, helping guide responsible growth and development within the community. He also served on the New Zoning Committee, working alongside Glynn County officials and community leaders to help shape long-term planning strategies and the future vision of the county.

Robert’s dedication to the architectural profession is reflected in his leadership within the American Institute of Architects. He served as President of AIA Georgia as well as President of the AIA Golden Isles, contributing to the advancement of architecture, professional mentorship, and advocacy for quality design throughout the region.

With an appreciation for the natural beauty of the coast and a genuine love for his community, Robert approaches architecture with the belief that architectural design should enhance both the built environment and the lives of the people it serves.
